but that´s a good thing, since now this is my favorite kind)

there is nothing ethereal about her, she´s force and strength and i love that

also i had no idea filming would be so much fun

she just tried things and i told her if i thought something might work

(a big thank you to MICA by the way, who we woke very early on a rainy sunday morning 

to borrow her amazing studio to shoot the whole thing - E is wearing 0941 throughout all the pictures, 

which is also dreamt up right there)

mine turned out to be a bit on the bitter side

i probably used to much orange zest

also we simply can´t get enough of FRÄULEIN TEXT´s GRANOLA - that crunching buckwheat!!!

(i tend to make it with ghee, dried blue berries and cardamom - excellent when you run out of cinnamon)

and those TURMERIC CASHEWS - wow!

it was my first time using cayenne, so they turned out super hot
and can now be used as a spice themselves

and since i had a bottle of almost crystallised rice sirup hidden in on of my vast drawers

i gave this ELDERFLOWER CORDIAL a shot

didn´t look as poetic as in those pictures, more like when you pour a bottle of beer and all that comes out is foam

but now it works (and looks like beer completely without foam)

.

it looks like i´m completely food driven these days

it´s probably Nigel Slater´s fault

i´m reading too much in his books and now i´m wondering

when i´m going to start dreaming of lamb with apricots and all that tarragon he seams to consume

since foxgloves have planted themselves in the sage patch

(if you´re reading your Agatha Christie closely you know how dangerous that can be)

i don´t dare to try what looks to me like tarragon in my garden

maybe it´s some highly poisonous lookalike too

.

spent all of my "business money" on getting the blanks for the new collection cut
they just arrived and now SO MUCH work is about to begin
i´m already sore after half a day

so i swear a lot and hide out somewhere eating cookies or nuts
.
all versions of the BLUE BELL NECKLACES and the PUZZLE RINGS are now back in stock

also i have to get used to the fact that my hair will probably never look neat

and i should probably embrace the style of an unruly toddler

last year i was asked to do a print for the fashion label 0941

i had already done a few BEFORE

so i was super happy to get to create another one for the S/S2015 collection

available HERE

when i´m designing such things often i have no idea what will come out of it in the end

so here i show you some on-the-way versions

that did not end up printed on silk like the final print

.

a few weeks ago i played around with the clothes behind my house

enjoying a a bit of sunshine

and looking very much not like a model

.

oh, how i love the contrast between us two

we really do have the nicest clients

actually lots of them

and when we do custom orders there´s quite a bit of talking and emailing back and forth

so we get to know each other a bit and get to be part of their story

which is a very nice thing

.

a while ago Antonio asked us to create an engagement ring for his future finance Marta

(they are both architects and fond of a simple and clean style)

based on the design of the VERY TINY RINGS and the FANCY STONE RINGS

using a black diamond

he also wanted to give her some pictures about the ring making process

so we took some while we worked on it

of our sketches, choosing of the stone and the gold tone to go with it

casting the gold, working on ring and cast, soldering and the adding of the final touches

it´s really hard to capture everything since most of the time you can´t make out what we´re doing

and the material is hidden in our hands anyway

(+ a black diamond is a very secretive stone who comes to light rather in movement)

but it´s a nice story about how the TINY MARTA RING came to life

.

and after Marta said YES in Paris (so sweet, right?!) 

we even got some pictures of the freshly engaged couple, the ring AND the Eiffel tower

we are very happy indeed

while i was dealing with an evil stomach bug

that involved an emergency doctor drugging me out and rewarding me with a nice PLASTER afterwards

my garden exploded

.

a while before i retreated to bath and bed

i had a little/big help cleaning everything up

(best dressed gardener ever, right?)

and these pictures of those tiny plants taken right after look so ridiculous after a few weeks

slowly i´ve come to like the wilderness of my mixture of old growth and new plantation

.

one (sick) evening of a especially warm day

i sat up in bed crying out "that smell, that smell!"

since the air was filled with an almost sickening sweet scent of my just startet narcissus boarder,

tons of violets, hyacinths (look at my favorites, so cute) and a pear tree just bursting into bloom

.

i spent so much time, money and energy at planing and planting this garden

(which will never some to an end)

but it already feels so rewarding and there´s still so much to come out during the year

.

also it´s really difficult to take "nice" pictures of it all

since i´m not living in the prettiest neighborhood

so you can only see a fraction of my wild tulip collection

.

since i´ve now included roasted bananas and ice cream to my diet of zwieback, apples and noodle soup

my strength will return soon

 and i´m going to dig around there again in no time

.
